I have to say, I feel like the Citadel DLC is the “true” ending to the Mass Effect series. It’s the very definition of fanservice – corny, campy, and filled with inside jokes and easter eggs galore. This might come as quite a surprise, but I actually like the sound of this. I've always loved the Citadel, and the fact it seems to be based more around the characters and saying goodbye to them and less around 'splaining dat ending or edging it up with Aria is a plus.
